St Clears Town Council is pleased to announce that three new defibrillators have been purchased and installed in the Town Council area. The new defibrillators are located in decommissioned red telephone kiosks in Pwll Trap, Lower St Clears and Bancyfelin. The three new defibrillators are in addition to the one previously acquired by the Town Council, which is at the entrance to the Leisure Centre on Station Rd.
The defibrillators are housed in cabinets within the kiosks. No code is required to access the defibrillator to minimise delay in an emergency. Training will be provided in the coming weeks and those interested should contact the Town Clerk to register. Everyone is welcome.
The training sessions will be held as follows:
- Bancyfelin Village Hall – 29th June 2019 at 10am
- White Lion, Pwll Trap – 6th July 2019 at 11am
St Clears Town Council would like to thank Tenby & Saundersfoot First Responders who supplied and fitted the defibrillators and will also provide the training. There will be an opportunity to make a donation to support their work at each of the training sessions.
The Town Council would also like to acknowledge the support of Carmarthenshire County Council to install the defibrillator at the Leisure Centre.
In addition to the defibrillators provided by the Town Council, the Savoy on Tenby Rd, St Clears have also been successful in their fundraising efforts and installed a defibrillator on the outside of their building. A big thank you to them for supporting the community by installing this vital life-saving equipment.
