A ‘drive through’ vaccination centre is currently being set up in St. Clears with the Coach and Horses Surgery preparing for the delivery of the first supply of vaccines in the coming days.
The process is being supported by the St. Clears Town Council who are appealing for volunteers to assist with car park marshal duties to ensure the safety and efficiency of the process.
It will be required that volunteers assist for up to a period of 3 hours at a time.
The role will be in the open air and will involve being out in bad weather at times.
Normal coronavirus safety procedures will apply in terms of face coverings, sanitising and social distancing and all required equipment and a full briefing will be provided.
It is currently uncertain when this process will start and how the process will develop. It will be dependent on the resourcing and supply which will be guided by the surgery.
At this stage we wish to create a list of volunteers who can be contacted to assist. If interested please email the Town Clerk clerk@stclearstowncouncil.co.uk or use the contact us section of this website, leaving your name, email address and contact number*.
These details will then be forwarded to Cllr Ian Richards who is coordinating this with the local surgery.
*All information
collected will be used for the purposes of this exercise only and destroyed
when the exercise is complete. By volunteering you are consenting for your contact
details to be kept for the required period of time, but they can be removed at any
time upon request.
