Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
As amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions Act) 1991
Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic
Carmarthenshire County Council hereby gives notice that from Monday 29th November, 2021, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along that length of road known as the B4299 Meidrim Road, from a point 669 metres north-west of its junction with the U2049 for a total distance of 700 metres in a north-westerly direction.
The closure is necessary for Carmarthenshire County Council to remove trees which have fallen during Storm Arwen.
The alternative route for north-west bound traffic will be to proceed in a southerly direction along the B4299, passing Plasparcau and Maesyfelin to its junction with the U2049. At the junction, turn right and continue in a south-westerly direction along the U2049, passing Llain-lwyd to its junction with the U2050. At the junction, turn right and continue in a northerly direction along the U2050, passing Bryngolau, Nantyregi and Oernant-fach to its junction with the C2015. At the junction, turn right and continue in a south-easterly direction along the C2015, passing Dolwerdd, Pant Farm and Y Ficerdy to its junction with the B4299. At the junction, turn right and continue in a south-westerly direction along the B4299 passing Penalltiawn to return to a point north-west of the closure. Vice Versa for south-east bound traffic.
This Notice shall continue in force for a period not exceeding twenty one days after which time its provision may be extended by a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the same Act.
